Infrastructure Business Analyst

Enterprise Infrastructure Business Analyst

DURATION: Full-time Permanent OR Contract for 12 months with possible extension


This position reports to the Program Manager, Network Infrastructure Project Management Office (PMO). Minimal travel may be required. In addition, the position requires implementing and leading the IS Infrastructure Delivery Practice (IDP) Governance and the PMO part of IDP including the Infrastructure BA services within the PMO.


Process ownership for the Infrastructure Delivery Practice for the Client. Process ownership includes governance, measurement and continuous improvement of the IDP. The key executors of the IDP are the Infrastructure Design Team, the PMO BA's, Technical Systems Delivery (TSD) Team, and the U.S. business units.

IDP's purpose is to assure:

  • IS infrastructure is delivered to projects in a timely manner.
  • The infrastructure delivered provides and evolves reliable, secure, and cost effective designs for end to end infrastructure for deployment in the Client's computing environment.
  • Designs are aligned with enterprise architectural standards, meets operational requirements, and takes into account existing services and capacity plans for infrastructure.
  • The delivered infrastructure meets business, functional, and operational requirements including OLA's and SLA's.

Key accountabilities for this role are for the IDP process and include:

  • The design of the process and its effectiveness.
  • Overseeing the process and ensuring that the process is followed by the organization.
  • Defining policies for the organization regarding the process.
  • Establishing SLAs as required, between interfacing teams - IDP and Projects, PMO, Architecture & Planning, TSD/US Business Units.
  • Approving all changes to the process, and development of process improvement plans.
  • Owning the supporting documentation for the process from a strategic and tactical perspective.
  • Managing the process and the supporting documentation for the process on an operational basis.
  • Overseeing the BA service within the PMO which is accountable for for the elicitation, analysis, communication and documentation of all requirements (business, technical, functional) for all infrastructure required by all projects and infrastructure change initiatives.
  • Developing and maintenance of the requirements infrastructure services templates.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Proven experience (5 years+) project managing or enabling and supporting the delivery infrastructure.
  • Strong BA skills and experience related to requirements gathering, documenting and tracability in the infrastructure domain.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong skills and orientation to process and process management.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, communication and general interpersonal skills is an asset.
  • Operational experience and/or project management experience in information systems is highly desireable.
  • Experience with secure computing infrastructure design and operation will be a plus.
  • Post secondary education at University or College in Computer Science or Computing.
  • Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience required.



Senior System Analyst

DURATION: 6 months with possible extension


Our client is looking for an experienced Senior System Analyst. You must be detail oriented and have a comprehensive understanding of systems development, and excellent written and oral communication skills.


  • Strong requirements gathering and analysing skills
  • Experienced in use case development and validation
  • Excellent communication skills in oral and writing, especially in requirements and use cases development
  • With in-depth knowledge in large distributed system design and development
  • Familiar with requirement and use case tools such as Rational Rose, MindManager, etc.
  • Min five years experience in software development with minimium Bachelor degree in Software engineering or equivalent
  • Continuous residency in Canada for a minimum of the last five years

Required skills:

  • Minimum 5 years knowledge of Microsoft Windows Development Environment
  • Strong experience in Microsoft .NET development environment
  • Experience in architecting and implementing large scale portal websites
  • Experience in commercial portal frameworks
  • Possess team lead experience
  • Minimum B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent degree



Senior .NET Developer

DURATION: 12 months with possible extension


Our client is looking for an experienced .NET 2.0 developer to join an established team on the IPS Project. The assignment is for a 12 month term with the possibility of an extension.


Collaborate with other development team members on design and development Work directly with business and quality assurance team members on requirements Demonstrate functionality to business representatives Quickly get up to speed in a complex business domain and complex code base Participate in team discussions, reviews and decision making processes
